Asbestos Remediation - 2 Day
This course is a must for those who work or will be working with asbestos. The awareness portion (1 day) covers types of asbestos and characteristics, identification of areas containing asbestos, health effects, hazard ranking and removal priority, NS Code of Practice and the training required for each asbestos type. Participants also receive training on respiratory protection and will be fit tested if required. The remediation portion (Day 2) covers quality control, monitoring, materials and equipment, work area preparation, isolation barriers, engineering controls, negative pressure measurement and removal procedures. Participants will receive practical training which requires participants to wear appropriate PPE and erect a containment area. Participant Handbook, Wall Certificate and Laminated Wallet Certificate is included in the price.
