WHMISstands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. It is a Canada-wide system to provide information on hazardous materials used in the workplace first developed in 1988. WHMIS was developed by the collaborative efforts of government, industry and labour and is supported by both federal and provincial legislation.
The federal Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)legislation was amended February 11, 2015 to align with the GloballyHarmonizedSystem(GHS)for Classifying and Chemicals.
Certified Health & Safety Officer Training “CSO” - Modules 1-9.
All 10 Modules must be completed to have earned the CSO designation.
