Blended Learning - Rigging & Slinging for Crane & Hoist
This course requires a practical portion to be completed where the participant must demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to follow proper practices, rigging techniques and regulations to safely sling and rig loads in accordance with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z150-98 regulation. For workers, without proper skills to support rigging and slinging, not only are crane operators and riggers lives at risk when cranes malfunction, but ground works and the public can also suffer serious injuries. As crane operators / riggers it is necessary to understand and respect the machines and to practice safe operating, rigging and slinging procedures.
